Sharing resources Via internet and intranet

The terms Internet and Intranet are most widely used terms. Many people think both are similar, but there are lots of differences between them.
Internet 
  Internet is global communication accessed through the web.

Intranet 
   Intranet is shared content accessed by member with in a single organization (private network)

	Internet	Intranet
	Internet is wide network of computers and is open for all.	Intranet is also a network of computers designed for a specific group of users.
	Internet itself contains a large number of intranets.	Intranet can be accessed from Internet but with restrictions.
	The number of users who use internet is Unlimited.	The number of users is limited.
	The Visitors traffic is unlimited.	The traffic allowed is also limited.
	Internet contains different source of information and is available for all. Intranet	Intranet contains only specific group information.

 

 Shared resources, also known as network resources, refer to computer data, information, or hardware devices that can be easily accessed from a remote computer through a local area network (LAN) or enterprise intranet. Successful shared resource access allows users to operate as if the shared resource were on their own computer. The most frequently used shared network environment objects are files, data, multimedia and hardware resources like printers, fax machines and scanners.
